Canning Equipment | Canning equipment refers to the different kinds of equipment that can be used in to the processing of canned products. Canning equipment includes finishing equipment designed to prepare different products prior to canning the product. The operation of finishing equipment can be sifting or screening, or some other process needed to make products suitable for further processing. Canning equipment also includes retort equipment that is designed to retort or sterilize products that has already been packages in cans or other container. Retort equipment uses hot water or steam to evenly heat product to a certain temperature for a certain amount of time, a process often called pasteurization. |
