Filler Powder

Powder fillers or powder filling equipment are machines designed to measure and dispense an amount of powder into a container or package. Powder fillers can use many different mechanisms to measure the amount of product being dispensed into the package. Auger powder fillers use the rotation of an auger to meter out the appropriate amount of powder. Scale powder fillers use scales to weigh the proper amount of product and then dispense the powder into the container. A volumetric powder filler fills a pocket or cup of a know volume to measure out the proper amount of powder and then discharge the powder from the cup into the container. (The concept behind volumetric powder filling is similar to using a measuring cup to measure flour when baking.) Vacuum powder fillers use a vacuum to meter out the proper amount of powder into a container. Bulk powder fillers are designed to fill containers with a large quantity of powder. Capsule powder fillers are designed to fill capsules with powder. Powder fillers can also be designed to fill different types of containers including, cups, valve bags, canisters, bottle, capsules, and bags.
